Feeling:
my mentor left the company on tuesday and the office has been quite quiet since. even though i used to complain about her mentoring, i'm actually grateful to her now for her no-nonsense approach.
..
broke my 100k target this month! whee!!!!
..
quite disappointed with my jan incentive pay-out as i had expected more but i guess i should be contented already.
..
according to my colleagues,i'm a workaholic because i didn't even take a single day of MC or annual leave throughout my year with the company so I have decided that work is work.... but my life shouldn't end because of it. and so, i have planned a trip this mid year!
i realised i have been blogging significantly lesser nowadays and the days have been passing on by so fast, it's scary.
anyway, it's the start of a new month. starting from ZERO again.
wish me luck! =)

Met May in the afternoon and spent approx. $100 on a top and a dress.
OMG.
I think it's because i just got my salary the day before and am feeling kindda "rich". LOL
Gotta keep myself in check before i overspend! =)

Somewhere on the other side of the world, people are experiencing shortened ski seasons and polar bears are endangered due to melting icebergs.
Here in SG, the heat and humidity is just hitting a new level. Urgh..

It was a treat from the boss as our performance in March was the best in the division history. The interior was rather dim but we could see that it had a very simplistically stylish, dark solid interior. While soft music fills the air, we each had a cocktail/mocktail/beer before dinner and really liked the onion loaf that was still warm and fluffy inside when it reached our table. Definitely freshly baked! I do believe I could have it for breakfast everyday. Xp
If you haven't been to Morton's before, do take note. Orders of steaks just gets you steak on your plate. There are no accompanying sides. So if you want something else along with the meat, you have to order them pricey bites. My colleague and I ordered a Ribeye Steak - Medium Well to share as we had heard of the huge portions of their steak and ordered sauteed wild mushrooms as our sides. The food was really good and I'm glad we made the decision to share! And I also tried Steak - Rare for the first time! Not as "yucky" as I thought it would be but I still wouldn't be able to have an entire steak - rare. Compared to my medium well, I could really taste the raw-ness of the meat. had quite an indescribable taste.
For dessert, we tried their signature warm chocolate cake which we had to order in advance as it takes half an hour to prepare. Highly recommended for all chocolate fans!! The cake had a slightly crusty exterior that breaks into a warmer softer inside and molten chocolate which erupts from the centre when you cut it open. *drools*
It was a great dining experience and I would be visiting more frequently if not for the hefty price-tag. I think my boss easily blew $2k+ for a table of 13!

I want to go
on a trip so we (me+friends) visited the NATAS fair last night to get a better idea of where to go. luckily it wasn't super crowded and we could browse around quite comfortably. egypt, turkey, cambodia, nepal were some of the more interesting places to consider.
now...i need to start working on a budget and sort out the when/where/why/what.
=)
